Simple the name bilston-online.co.uk costs £6.00 to register and use for 2 Years.
What do you need for a website?
A subject for it obviously!
Ideally a Domain name (definition here if you don't know what one is) as a general rule these are not free, however they can be purchased quite cheaply at LCN.com or 123-reg.co.uk
Somewhere to host the site e.g. www.byethost.com as used for these pages. Cost = £0.00
An HTML editor such as Fresh HTML cost = £0.00 ( you can even use a plain text editor such as Windows Notepad!)
If you need a program to edit images for your site you can use PhotoFiltre cost = £0.00
This site includes both Java and JavaScript features many of these including the ones used here can be obtained for a cost of £0.00 amongst many other sources is javafile.com
Several of the pages on this site have a navigation bar at the top, this particular one is an image map which can be created using Meracl Image Map Generator available here Cost? £0.00
Once you have created your masterpiece and obtained a host you need software to upload it to your host, I personally use FireFTP £0.00 which is an add on for the Firefox Browser £0.00 there are others available including Fresh FTP £0.00. Some FTP software can be expensive, but it doesn't work any better than the free ones!
To sum up you can create a sophisticated website for very little cost, I've ignored the cost of computer hardware and broadband connections etc. because if you're thinking of building a website then it's 99% probable you already have these items.
